About the Opportunity:

The Senior Technical Underwriter Agribusiness sits withing Tokio Marine’s Underwriting and Reinsurance Team. The successful candidate will lead the development and service delivery of our Agri insurance product suite including farm and crop insurance, managing the Agri insurance solutions for our partners.

This role will include identifying opportunities in Agri underwriting including new product development, policy coverage and pricing and working across the business to develop and deliver on key measurables.

This is a permanent role with a preference to be based in either Sydney or Melbourne, other locations will also be considered.

Key responsibilities include

- Lead the development and ongoing management of product coverage




- Monitor and manage underwriting exposures on an individual and portfolio basis.
- Work alongside partners on new business opportunities to ensure correct pricing and application of coverage.
- Lead negotiations with MGAs and brokers to successfully win new business and retain renewals.
- Service, build & maintain relationships external clients and internal teams.
- Serve as key referral and escalation point for the Agri underwriting team
- Manage the referral process, ensuring timely completion.
- Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions, correspondence and justification.
- Attend client meetings and industry functions as and when required
- Monitor underwriting service delivery and identify opportunities to streamline processes.
- Work directly with brokers to underwrite insurance risks in line with product guidelines and influence partner advocacy at all available customer touchpoints

About You:

As our preferred candidate, you will have:;

- Solid technical Agri Insurance knowledge including farm and crop insurance
- Ability to quickly analyse and synthesise information
- Be responsible for managing a portfolio of business
- Develop technical underwriting capability
- Assess and underwriting new business,



renewals and policy amendments
- Building and maintaining strong client and broker relationships
- Managing risks in line with underwriting guidelines and authority levels
- Contribute to business growth and portfolio performance
- Collaborate across underwriting, claims and operational team
- Demonstrated initiative, a commitment to excellence in client service, must be a team player and have ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Hold strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
- Enjoy solving problems and thinking outside the box within a greenfield opportunity
