Job Description

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for helping ensure the safe, efficient and productive operation of the afternoon shift. You will combine your technical injection moulding and die-setting experience with the ability to lead a team, troubleshoot issues and keep production running smoothly.

Please note: This is a specialist injection moulding position. Applicants must have previous hands-on experience as an Injection Moulding Die Setter.

Key responsibilities

n

Supervising and supporting production employees on the afternoon shift.

n

Ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are met.

n

Completing injection moulding die changeovers across a range of machine and mould sizes.

n

Using an overhead crane and forklift to safely complete die changes.

n

Completing colour and masterbatch changes.

n

Starting up and shutting down injection moulding machines.

n

Troubleshooting moulding, machine and production issues.

n

Applying practical problem-solving techniques to minimise downtime.

n

Monitoring product quality and identifying issues early.

n

About you

n

Demonstrated experience in plastic injection moulding and die setting.

n

Previous experience supervising, leading or mentoring production staff,



or the demonstrated capability to step into a supervisory role.

n

Solid understanding of injection moulding processes, die changes and machine operation.

n

A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

n

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

n

A proactive, practical and "can-do" attitude.

n

The ability to troubleshoot problems and make sound decisions under pressure.

The ability to influence outcomes and build a positive team culture.

n

A hands-on approach and willingness to be actively involved in production.
