Role Description The sign manufacturer and installer is a full-time, on-site role based in Tasmania, Australia. Day-to-day responsibilities include fabricating signs using various materials and equipment, preparing surfaces, applying graphics and finishes, and ensuring all products meet quality standards. The role involves installing signage at client locations, which may include measuring and marking installation points, safely mounting signs, and using hand and power tools.

The position also includes reading and interpreting design specifications, coordinating with designers and project managers, and maintaining a clean, organized workshop and vehicle.



The team member is expected to follow safety regulations, interact professionally with clients on-site, and contribute to timely, efficient project completion.

Qualifications

- Technical and fabrication skills, including experience with basic hand and power tools, measuring equipment, and materials used in sign manufacturing.
- Installation and site work skills, such as safely working at heights, accurate layout and positioning, and familiarity with mounting methods and hardware.
- Graphic application skills, including reading design drawings, handling vinyl graphics or digital prints, and careful alignment and finishing.
- Quality and safety skills, including attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and consistent quality checks throughout production and installation.
- Communication and teamwork skills, including clear communication with colleagues and clients, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a small team workplace.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to job sites across Tasmania as required.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and handle materials and equipment, and to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
- Previous experience in signage, construction, shopfitting, or a related trade is highly beneficial; relevant vocational training or apprenticeship is an advantage.
