We're looking for a Social Media & Content Manager!

Assemblo is a Melbourne-based brand agency that delivers business strategy plus tactical execution. We help ambitious business owners and SMEs looking to scale to the next level through insight-led marketing strategies that work and feel authentically them.

This role delivers content marketing and social media for our clients and Assemblo. You'll own the job of content creation, including shooting, editing, publishing and monitoring. You’ll also help the team shape the thinking and plan behind the content, ensuring our clients feel confident in Assemblo’s ability to help their business grow.

? This might be the role for you if...

- You're a creator. You'd rather grab the camera and go and make the content than wait for a client to send through something usable. Filming, editing, building assets, and writing copy - that’s what excites you in your work.
- You're comfortable being front and centre on camera, recording voice-overs, interviewing business owners, and you’re not easily embarrassed filming creative ideas in public.
- You get genuinely excited about learning new industries and helping business owners of all kinds tell their unique stories.
- You can explain why, not just what. You understand how a single post ladders up to a client’s objectives, and you’re confident in presenting that vision to them.
- You know the difference between what a job needs and what is nice to have. You right-size the effort rather than gold-plating everything.
- You look at Assemblo’s brand and get giddy with ideas of the content you could create
- You can manage your own workload. Your to-do list is current, you come to team updates with your projects up to date, and you flag early when something's blocked.

? Why this might not be your thing…

- You want to spend the majority of your time on strategy. This is a content creation role first. You'll contribute to the thinking and own more of it over time, but if you're looking to lead strategy now and hand production to someone else,



this isn't that.
- Your happy place is writing clever copy and leaving the camera work to those who find being front and centre more natural. While you will write copy, this is primarily a production-centric role.
- You need someone checking in on you to keep you on track. We work collaboratively, but you are accountable for managing your priorities and meeting deadlines.
- You're all creative instinct and no commercial judgement. Outstanding ideas matter here, but so do budgets, scopes and deadlines.
- Your passion is ONLY for foodie/fashion influencer-style content, and you find it hard to create inspiring stories for everyday businesses.
- You only want to tell one type of story. Our clients vary a lot! Renewable energy, main street retailers, car wash chains, SaaS companies.

? Salary + Location

$80,000 - $85,000 + super

Time in lieu for occasional weekend/evening work for client events

Full-time role. Three days in the office.

Melbourne CBD office.
