Job Description
Shape the future MRM builds with the Territory
n
Few roles in the Territory offer the reach of this one. This is a senior, high-autonomy role for an experienced stakeholder and social performance professional ready to shape how MRM builds trust with stakeholders, communities and government – working closely with the Superintendent Communities and Social Performance, with real influence over MRM's social investment portfolio and standing across the Gulf region and the NT.
n
Why This Role
n
n
- Genuine seniority and autonomy – you'll work with a high degree of independence, backed by the support of your Superintendent and the broader senior leadership team.
n
- A direct report (Administration Officer) and the scope to grow your leadership experience.
n
- Real influence over outcomes that matter – Traditional Owner and community relationships, government relationships and where MRM's social investment go.
n
- Variety that keeps the work interesting – one week you're briefing a key stakeholder, the next you're out at a remote community, the next you're preparing a briefing for senior leadership.
n
- A platform to build your profile you'll represent MRM in forums most professionals only read about.
n
n
Your Impact
n
In this role, you will:
n
n
- Help shape and deliver the stakeholder engagement strategy that underpins MRM's reputation and social licence to operate.
n
- Build and maintain trusted, respectful relationships with Traditional Owners, community leaders, government representatives and industry organisations.
n
- Lead formal stakeholder meetings and government briefings – owning the agendas, briefing papers, presentations and follow-through that make MRM a partner people can rely on.
n
- Support the delivery of commitments made with Traditional Owners and local communities.
n
- Lead sponsorships and community events that put MRM's commitment to the Territory on display.
n
- Write the executive-level briefings, speeches, presentations and correspondence that represent MRM to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
n
- Manage MRM's social investment portfolio end to end – assessment, due diligence, approvals,
monitoring and reporting.
n
- Lead key elements of Glencore's Social Performance and Human Rights Standard, including stakeholder engagement, social risk and grievance management.
n
- Keep MRM's stakeholder and commitment records accurate and current, and work across the operation to ensure commitments are delivered, not just documented.
n
n

Trade the commute for harbourside living, a relaxed tropical Top End pace, and a strong outdoor and social culture – all within easy reach of some of Australia's most spectacular natural landscapes. It's a capital city with the career opportunities, salary and advantages to match a senior, high-profile role, and a community small enough that the relationships you build here mean something.
n

n
- Lifestyle roster (5/2 and 4/3) that gives you real time off to enjoy the Territory.
