We are seeking a qualified Chef to join our aged care facility in The Basin on a part-time basis.

n

This is a hands-on role within a large, well-established residential aged care home comprising nine residential wings, supported by a collaborative kitchen team and a welcoming community of residents.

n

Working within a structured and supportive environment, you will play an significant role in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that contribute to the health, wellbeing and dining experience of our residents.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Prepare and present fresh, nutritious and high-quality meals for residents and staff
n
- Assist with bulk meal preparation and daily kitchen operations
n
- Prepare texture-modified meals in accordance with individual dietary requirements
n
- Maintain a clean,



safe and well-organised kitchen while following food safety and WHS requirements
n
- Provide friendly, efficient service and contribute positively to a respectful team environment
n

Skills and Experiences:

n

About You

n

n
- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
n
- Previous experience in a Chef role, with aged care experience essential
n
- Strong ability to prepare and deliver high-quality meals in a care-focused environment
n
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
n
- Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail, with a genuine commitment to resident wellbeing
n

- Successful applicants must have a current year Flu Vaccination and undertake a National Criminal History Check, or be willing to obtain one.
