Our Client:
Our client is an independent, full-service Australian law firm that pairs the expertise of a big-city practice with the agility and client focus of a boutique. With offices across Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, they are looking for a Property Lawyer to run front-end property and conveyancing matters for a genuinely varied client base.
Why you'll love it here!
- Work directly for buyers, sellers, lenders, landlords and investors, rather than sitting several steps removed from the client relationship.
- Handle a genuine mix of matters, from commercial acquisitions and leasing through to subdivisions and off-the-plan settlements, so your practice stays broad.
- Operate across three states from one desk, which keeps the file flow steady and the work genuinely wide-ranging.
- Genuine work-from-home flexibility, so you can structure your week without sacrificing client contact or file quality.
- Join a growing practice that has attracted senior lawyers from leading national and international firms, with no need to bring an existing client base or manage a team yourself.
- Remuneration commensurate with experience, openly discussed once we've spoken.
About the role!
- You'll run front-end property and conveyancing files end to end,
acting for a client base spanning individual buyers and sellers through to institutional investors, developers and lending institutions.
- Prepare, review and negotiate sale and purchase contracts for commercial and residential property.
- Manage settlements through to completion, including PEXA settlements.
- Advise on commercial and retail leasing, subdivisions and off-the-plan transactions.
- Conduct due diligence for acquisitions, covering title, planning and finance-related matters.
- Liaise directly with agents, financiers and other parties to keep transactions moving.
What you'll bring!
- 5 or more years' PAE in front-end property and conveyancing.
- Admission to practise in SA, VIC or NSW (as relevant) and a current practising certificate.
- Confidence to manage a settlement caseload with genuine autonomy.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- A client-first approach and comfort dealing directly with buyers, sellers, agents and financiers.
- No requirement to bring an existing client base or manage a team, this role is built around the work itself.
