What you will do
As Departmental Liaison Assistant/Receptionist, you will support the ministerial office and department. You will help keep information, correspondence and office services moving smoothly.
You will:
- manage sensitive correspondence and coordinate electronic briefings between the ministerial office and department;
- provide high-level reception support, including calls, visitors, enquiries and the reception area;
- monitor document flows, email inboxes and deadlines to keep work moving and resolve delays;
- provide professional administrative support using Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro and department systems;
- support cabinet, parliamentary and legislative work, while keeping accurate records and handling information confidentially.
About you
No mandatory qualification is listed for this role. Relevant experience in a government environment will be highly regarded.
You should also have:
- knowledge of parliamentary, cabinet and legislative processes, or the ability to learn them quickly;
- strong digital skills using Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro, with knowledge of EBC, Oracle or TRIM highly regarded;
- clear communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adjust your approach for different people;
- sound judgement,
problem-solving skills and flexibility when priorities change, while working well with others.
