Senior Exploration Geologist – Gold

An opportunity is available for a Senior Exploration Geologist to join a growing Western Australian gold business with an active exploration portfolio and significant work planned across its projects.

The role will suit an experienced exploration geologist who enjoys being involved across the full exploration cycle, from target generation and program planning through to drilling, interpretation and follow-up.

You’ll work within a small technical team, with the opportunity to take ownership of exploration programs and contribute directly to exploration decisions.

The role

- Generate and assess exploration targets across the portfolio
- Plan and coordinate exploration programs
- Supervise RC, aircore and diamond drilling campaigns
- Manage drilling contractors and field personnel
- Undertake geological logging, mapping and sampling
- Interpret and integrate geological, geochemical and geophysical data
- Develop and maintain 3D geological models
- Review drilling results and recommend follow-up work
- Maintain strong QAQC and geological data standards
- Contribute to exploration budgets, reporting and project reviews
- Assist with tenement and statutory requirements
- Work closely with the wider geology team on exploration and resource opportunities
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior geologists

About you You’ll be a tertiary-qualified Geologist with 7+ years’ relevant experience, including recent gold exploration experience.
You’ll ideally have:

- Strong gold exploration experience
- Experience planning and delivering exploration programs
- RC and diamond drilling experience




- Drilling contractor management experience
- Strong geological interpretation and modelling skills
- Experience with exploration databases and industry-standard geological software
- Valuable understanding of sampling and QAQC
- Experience with Leapfrog and GIS software would be advantageous
- Knowledge of WA exploration and statutory requirements
- Current C-Class driver's licence

We’re looking for someone who is technically strong, organised and comfortable taking ownership of their work. You’ll need to be equally happy working through the detail in the office and getting out into the field.
