Invigorate Ability

Campbelltown

Help us strengthen quality, compliance and safe, person-centred disability services.

Invigorate Ability is looking for an experienced Compliance & Quality Officer to join our growing team and play a key role in ensuring our services meet the highest standards of quality, safety and NDIS compliance.

This is an opportunity for someone who understands that great compliance is about more than maintaining registers and preparing for audits. You'll work across the organisation to identify risks, strengthen systems, support our people and help ensure participants consistently receive protected, high-quality and person-centred support.

About Invigorate Ability

Invigorate Ability is an NDIS-registered disability support provider delivering services across the Macarthur and Illawarra regions. We provide a range of supports including Supported Independent Living (SIL), respite, individual and in-home supports, day programs, community access and programs that help people build independence and participate in their communities.

We are committed to providing personalised, choice driven support that gives participants greater choice and control over their lives. As our organisation continues to grow, maintaining strong governance, quality and compliance systems is critical to ensuring we continue delivering safe, consistent and high quality services.

About the Role

The Compliance & Quality Officer will take organisation-wide responsibility for maintaining and strengthening our compliance and quality framework. You will ensure our operations remain aligned with the NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct, Restrictive Practices requirements and other relevant regulatory obligations, while helping us build a strong culture of continuous improvement. You will work with the team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements from Fair Work, Safe Work, the Official Community Visitor and the Office of the Children's Guardian as part of embedding strong governance.

Your responsibilities will be spread across compliance and audit readiness, incident management, restrictive practices, staff compliance, training and induction, participant file governance, complaints, risk management and quality improvement.

As a member of the leadership team, you'll be expected to actively identify gaps, follow through on corrective actions, work with Team Leaders and employees to improve practice, and provide practical advice that strengthens the quality and consistency of our services.

This is a full time position based at our Campbelltown office, with regular travel to our Illawarra site.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct and Restrictive Practices requirements, ensuring the organisation remains audit ready.

- Lead internal audits, incident investigations, regulatory reporting and the management of complaints, risks and corrective actions.

- Oversee staff compliance, onboarding and mandatory training, ensuring screening checks, qualifications, certifications and training requirements remain current.

- Maintain high standards of participant documentation and file governance, conducting regular audits and service delivery spot checks.

- Maintain and improve policies, procedures, registers and internal systems, identifying gaps and implementing practical improvements. This includes policies and procedures relating to employee and organisational governance and risk mitigation, alongside our NDIS policy suite.

- Analyse compliance, incident, audit and quality data to identify trends and emerging risks, providing clear reporting and recommendations to leadership.

- Work closely with Team Leaders and employees to embed strong compliance practices and continuously improve the quality, safety and consistency of participant services.

- Participate in the after hours on call roster for approximately one week in a four-week cycle, following completion of induction, with an additional on-call allowance.

- Provide fortnightly compliance and quality reporting to leadership.

About You

You are a practical and proactive compliance professional who is comfortable working across both the detail of documentation and the broader operational environment. You understand that effective compliance requires strong relationships and follow through. You are confident asking questions, identifying gaps, challenging practices when necessary and working collaboratively with leaders and employees to find practical solutions.

You will bring:

- Strong knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct and Restrictive Practices requirements

- Previous experience in compliance, quality assurance, auditing or risk management within disability, healthcare, aged care or community services

- Experience investigating incidents and preparing reportable incident submissions to a regulator

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities independently

- Confidence analysing information, identifying trends and translating findings into practical recommendations

- Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills

- A proactive approach to identifying compliance gaps and following actions through to completion

- Confidence using business and compliance systems; experience with ShiftCare, iinduct, Xero/XeroMe, Microsoft Teams and Google Workspace will be highly regarded

- A Certificate IV in Quality Auditing, Work Health & Safety, Community Services or another compliance-related qualification is highly regarded

Other Requirements

The successful applicant will require:

- Current First Aid and CPR certification

- Working With Children Check

- NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Recent National Police Check

- Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
