Details: Do you enjoy bringing arts, culture and history to life for diverse audiences?

The Cultural Facilities Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Learning and Engagement Officer to join the Visitor Engagement Team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver inspiring learning experiences, public programs and events across some of the ACT's most significant cultural and heritage destinations, including Canberra Museum and Gallery (CMAG), Lanyon Homestead, Calthorpes House, Mugga Mugga Cottage and Albert Hall.

In this dynamic role, you will work with children, young people, families, schools, community groups and adult audiences to create meaningful connections with visual arts, social history and heritage. You will deliver engaging programs, support special events, manage the CMAG Art Studio, and contribute to a welcoming, accessible and inclusive visitor experience

Working as part of a collaborative and passionate team, you will also help supervise and support Visitor Services Officers, contribute to program planning and evaluation, and build strong relationships with artists, educators, community organisations and other stakeholders.

- Has experience delivering education, learning or public programs in a museum, gallery, heritage, cultural or educational setting.




- Communicates effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Is organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities.
- Is committed to child safety, inclusion and accessibility.
- Enjoys working collaboratively in a team environment.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

1. Teaching experience or qualifications will be highly regarded.
2. A current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain and maintain one, is essential. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra

Note: This is a permanent part-time shift-worker position (35 hours per week) operating across a roster that includes weekdays, evenings and weekends. The full time salary noted above will be paid pro rata.
