We are looking for a passionate Educator to join the team at Star of the Sea Long Day Care & Kindy in Wondunna in an Inclusion Support role.

This is a casual position with approx. 25 hours per week, working as an additional educator to provide targeted support to children who may require additional assistance to participate, engage and thrive within the early learning workplace.
About You:
You are a warm, patient and enthusiastic educator who is passionate about inclusion and supporting children with diverse needs.
You understand that every child learns and develops differently, and you enjoy finding creative and responsive ways to help children participate in play, learning and everyday experiences.
You thrive as part of a collaborative team and are confident working alongside educators, families and other professionals to support children's individual needs.
What You'll Do:
- Provide targeted individual and small-group support to children requiring additional assistance.
- Support children's inclusion, participation and engagement as an additional educator throughout the day.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and respond to their individual strengths, interests and needs.
- Encourage participation in play-based learning, daily routines and social interactions.
- Assist educators to implement inclusive strategies and adjustments that support engagement.
- Foster a safe, welcoming and inclusive setting where every child feels valued and supported.
- Collaborate with educators to support children's learning, development and individual goals.
- Observe children's participation and contribute to discussions regarding their progress, strengths and support needs.
- Work collaboratively with families, educators and relevant professionals to support children's outcomes.
- Promote children's independence, confidence and sense of belonging.
- Uphold the service's commitment to inclusion and Catholic Early EdCare's educational philosophy.
To Be Successful, You Will Have:
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent.
- Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- Experience supporting children with additional needs or inclusion support, highly regarded.
- Understanding of inclusive practices and individualised support strategies.
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation.
- Completion of National Safeguarding (Geccko) Training Courses 1 & 2 required; Courses 3 & 4 highly regarded.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Calm, patient and compassionate approach.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families and other professionals.
- Passion for creating inclusive environments where every child can participate, belong and thrive.
