A well‑established civil construction business with a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality subdivision, infrastructure and water/wastewater projects is expanding their Adelaide operations. To support this growth, the organisation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take a leading role in building and managing its South Australian operations.

This is a pivotal position: you will be the primary leader on the ground, overseeing two crews, driving client relationships, ensuring commercial performance, and shaping the culture and capability of the local team.

Role Overview
As the Project Manager, you will manage the full lifecycle of water & Sewer infrastructure projects — from early tender involvement and pre‑construction planning through to delivery, close‑out and client handover. You will coordinate multiple work fronts, lead people, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading and coordinating crews to ensure safe, productive and high‑quality delivery
- Managing project programs, specifications and quality standards
- Building and maintaining solid relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Resolving technical, delivery and sequencing issues across multiple work fronts
- Overseeing variations, contract administration and commercial documentation
- Monitoring project costs and contributing to monthly financial reporting
- Preparing tender submissions, including scope review and pricing




- Reviewing supplier pricing and supporting procurement decisions
- Assisting with tender strategy, methodology and cost estimates
- Leading project setup, early planning and mobilisation activities
- Supporting workforce development, coaching and performance across the Adelaide team

Background & Experience
To be successful, you will be a tertiary‑qualified Civil Engineer with strong experience delivering water & Sewer infrastructure projects. We are seeking:

- Minimum 8 years’ experience in civil construction
- Proven delivery and estimating experience
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications and design packages
- Strong commercial acumen, cost control and contract administration capability
- Strong experience in subdivision water, sewer and drainage projects
- Experience managing crews, subcontractors and multiple concurrent work fronts
- High‑level organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and leadership
