Units Description:
RMH@Home Acute is multidisciplinary service staffed by physicians and junior doctors from various specialties - General Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Emergency Medicine. The team works with specialist nursing, pharmacy and allied health staff to deliver acute inpatient care in the home, with an emphasis on community outreach and virtual modalities such as telehealth and remote patient monitoring.
About the role:
The Hospital Medical Officer role for RMH@Home Acute would care for patients in the community across a variety of issues, with the overarching aim of providing hospital-level assessment and treatments for patients in the home. It involves assessment of ward patients for HITH suitability and supporting junior doctors in HITH care under the supervision of consultant physicians.
About You:
- Current General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualifications
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high-quality care
- The ability to work in a diverse multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Have a valid Victorian driver licence and can drive
