Little Wings is a leading not-for-profit organisation supporting NSW, ACT and QLD regional families and their seriously ill children by providing free and safe transportation to the Children’s Hospitals in Sydney, Brisbane and Newcastle and home again.

Little Wings is a charity flight service owner-operator in the aviation industry that meets or exceeds all of the CASA safety regulations. Little Wings also operates a fleet of modern Hyundai vehicles for protected and comfortable return transfers from Bankstown, Archerfield and Cessnock airports or the metro airports to the Children's Hospitals. The Little Wings organisation relies upon its loyal core of volunteer pilots and drivers to deliver service excellence.

Our vision is for every child regardless of geographical location to receive rapid and easy access to specialised medical services.

This position is based at Bankstown Aerodrome.

CURRENT OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for someone passionate and motivated to champion our mission and support families from regional and rural NSW and QLD as they care for their sick child. We need someone hardworking, charismatic, and dedicated to working with purpose every day. This is a full-time on site role, with a requirement to work one Saturday every three weeks.

This is a fast-paced and energetic role in not-for-profit with a seriously committed team. We are looking for someone who can match our energy and really wants to make a difference with a solution-driven attitude.





As Flight Coordinator reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your role is operational and outcomes-driven. This role will see you maintain internal and daily operations (including the flight schedule and customer experience); support families and ensure a positive and consistent experience; work to maintain and nurture and build upon external stakeholders within the community and our partnering hospitals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Develop and maintain positive relationships internally and externally

- To support families, oversee safety and raise the profile of the organisation

- Represent Little Wings to the community, industry, sponsors, and potential benefactors

- Key point of contact between families, hospitals and flight operations

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE THE FOLLOWING WILL BE IMPORTANT:

- Strong time management skills

- Ability to maintain composure and find solutions to changing circumstances

- An enthusiastic and energetic management style, flexible with the ability to manage multiple routines

- A person of integrity, honesty, and a genuine interest in the welfare of others

- Strong written and verbal skills

- A positive and motivated disposition

- An unrestricted full license with a clean driving history
