Join our Rockhampton team as a Batcher in Charge, where you'll play a critical role in the daily operations of our concrete plant. Responsible for the efficient and accurate batching and dispatching of concrete products in our Rockhampton plant, you will ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service are maintained while delivering products on time to meet customer requirements.

About the Role:

- Operate and maintain the concrete batching plant and associated equipment, including mixers, conveyors, and aggregate hoppers.

- Accurately measure and weigh raw materials (cement, aggregates, water, admixtures) according to specified mix designs.

- Monitor and control the batching process to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to Australian standards.

- Perform regular quality control checks on concrete mixes, including slump tests and sampling for strength testing.

- Coordinate with dispatch and delivery teams to ensure timely loading and dispatch of concrete trucks.

- Maintain accurate production records, including batch sheets, material usage, and delivery logs.

- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of batching plant equipment.

- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

- Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and truck drivers.





About You:

- Prior experience in concrete batching or a similar heavy industry operational role is highly desirable.

- Strong understanding of concrete mix designs and quality control procedures.

- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.

- Solid multitasking skills, with the ability to balance competing deadlines.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Front End Loader Ticket is advantageous.

- A current valid driver's license.

- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
