Health & Safety Advisor - TfNSW Projects

The Company

This national Tier 2, multi-disciplined Civil Engineering Contractor is highly regarded within the civil construction industry and has an established track record delivering major infrastructure projects across NSW.
With over 40 years of experience and a strong pipeline of work, the business is currently delivering two TfNSW road projects valued at approximately $100M each and is looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join the team.

The Role

Working across two major TfNSW road projects, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance are maintained across the projects.
Key responsibilities will include:

- Managing and implementing site-based WHS requirements and systems.
- Conducting site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
- Ensuring compliance with TfNSW standards, legislation and project requirements.
- Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and site crews.
- Managing incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
- Delivering toolbox talks, inductions and safety training.
- Monitoring subcontractor compliance and ensuring safe systems of work are implemented.




- Providing advice and support to project teams on all HSEQ matters.
- Maintaining strong relationships with TfNSW and other project stakeholders.

The Requirements

- Previous road construction experience is essential.
- Minimum 5 years' experience working within civil construction HSEQ roles.
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, systems and compliance.
- Previous experience working on TfNSW projects would be highly desirable.
- Experience working on major civil infrastructure projects.
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while supporting project delivery teams.
- Relevant HSEQ qualifications.
