The Early Childhood Worker (Room Lead) - Long Day Care program is responsible to the preschool director/site leader for the provision of a quality long day care program, and will contribute to the planning and evaluation of the program to meet the needs of individual children, their families and the rural community, in accordance with the Department for Education policies and procedures and the National Quality Framework (NQF)

What you will do:

- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities to support children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.

- Manage challenging behaviours using positive guidance techniques.

- Observe and assess children's growth and learning milestones.





- Collaborate with families to support children's development.

- Contribute to planning, implementation and evaluation of appropriate childhood curriculum, and programs for children aged 0-6

- Work independently and as a member of a team

- Communicate and work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities to support learning, care and wellbeing
