Auto Electrician Apprentice

Cert III Automotive Electrical Technology (AUR30320)

As an Auto Electrician Apprentice, you'll learn how to install, test, diagnose and repair electrical systems on a variety of specialised vehicles and equipment. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople on emergency service vehicles, truck builds, defence projects and custom vehicle solutions.

You will learn how to:

- Read and interpret manufacturing and electrical drawings
- Install wiring harnesses and electrical components
- Assist with vehicle electrical fit-outs and programming
- Test and verify vehicle electrical systems
- Diagnose and fault-find electrical issues
- Work safely with a range of electrical equipment and technologies

Boilermaker Apprentice

Cert III Engineering - Fabrication Trade (AUR30305)

As a Boilermaker Apprentice, you'll learn how to fabricate, assemble and weld components used in specialised vehicles, defence projects and engineering solutions. You will gain experience working with a variety of metals including aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel.

You will learn how to:





- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Fabricate and assemble metal components
- Perform MIG and TIG welding techniques
- Use fabrication tools and workshop equipment
- Manufacture vehicle components and structures
- Work to quality and safety standards

Fitter Machinist Apprentice

Cert III Engineering - Mechanical Trade (MEM30219)

As a Fitter Machinist Apprentice, you'll develop skills in machining, fitting and manufacturing precision components. You'll gain hands-on experience using a variety of machinery while supporting vehicle, defence and engineering projects.

You will learn how to:

- Operate lathes, milling machines and metalworking equipment
- Manufacture and assemble mechanical components
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Use precision measuring equipment
- Maintain and repair mechanical systems and equipment
- Apply protected and efficient workshop practices

What You'll Be Doing

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will:

- Learn trade skills from qualified tradespeople and mentors
- Perform duties appropriate to your stage of training
- Assist with operational and project work
- Complete TAFE and workplace training requirements
- Maintain training records and logbooks
- Work safely with tools, equipment and machinery




- Follow company procedures and workplace safety requirements
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment

About You

To be successful, you will:

- Be committed to completing a four-year apprenticeship
- Have a genuine interest in your chosen trade
- Have a mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Be able to travel to and attend TAFE as required
- Hold a current driver's licence or have reliable transport
- Be self-motivated and committed to both work and study
- Demonstrate attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Be physically capable of performing manual tasks
- Be able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
