6-Month Fixed Term Contract

Up to $105k plus super depending on experience

An exciting opportunity has become available for a detail-oriented and analytical Commission Analyst to join a well-established organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Commissions Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the accurate calculation, analysis and processing of commissions for external partner networks, while ensuring robust controls, reporting and stakeholder engagement throughout the commission cycle.

Your new role

- Prepare, maintain and enhance Excel-based commission templates, reconciliation workbooks and payment support files.
- Support monthly and quarterly commission calculations through validation of source data, formula reviews and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely commission payment processing in accordance with agreed timelines.
- Maintain clear audit trails, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Partner with Relationship Managers, Finance and operational teams to investigate commission queries and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare supporting analysis and documentation relating to adjustments, payment queries and commission reporting.
- Assist with the ongoing maintenance of commission processes, controls and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all commission activities are completed in line with internal policies, approvals and governance requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of calculations, approvals, adjustments and supporting evidence.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role,



you will be a highly organised and detail-focused professional with strong analytical capabilities and advanced Excel skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
- 2-3 years' experience in financial analysis, reporting, payment operations, financial operations or a similar analytical role.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS and Power Query.
- Experience reviewing, maintaining and troubleshooting complex spreadsheets and data models.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical accuracy.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines within a quick-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Experience

- Exposure to payments, financial services, fintech, telecommunications or other high-volume transactional environments.
- Experience working with BI or reporting tools.
- Previous experience supporting partner-based or commission-driven payment structures.
