We are partnering with a growing organisation to connect them with an experienced General Counsel or Senior Commercial Lawyer for an initial 6-month secondment.

Operating within the infrastructure, oil & gas and major projects space, this opportunity requires a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys partnering with Senior Management to provide the business with strategic legal advice.

This role is suited for an experienced lawyer who can operate autonomously at a senior level, understands the commercial drivers of a business and is confident providing practical, strategic advice across a broad range of commercial and corporate matters.

The Role

Working closely with the Senior Management Team, you will act as a trusted legal advisor to the business and be involved in a broad range of commercial and strategic matters, including:

- Providing strategic and commercially focused legal advice to the Senior Management Team

- Advising on major infrastructure, oil & gas and development projects

- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial and project agreements

- Identifying and managing legal and commercial risk across the business

- Supporting project structuring, procurement and major transactions

- Working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors

- Providing practical, solutions-focused advice that supports the organisation’s commercial objectives

About You

- Senior-level lawyer with strong commercial and in-house experience

- Experience working within infrastructure, oil & gas, energy, resources or major projects





- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives

- Strategic thinker who can engage confidently with senior management

- Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills

- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of a broad legal portfolio

- Practical, commercially minded and solutions-focused
