Priceline Pharmacy Glenorchy is looking for an enthusiastic and capable Assistant Retail Manager to join our team.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working with people, delivering excellent customer service and supporting a busy retail team. Working closely with the Retail Manager, you will help oversee the day-to-day operations of the store and play an important role in creating a positive experience for both our customers and our team.
About the Role
As Assistant Retail Manager, you will support the Retail Manager in the effective operation of the store while taking an active role on the shop floor.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Retail Manager with the day-to-day operation of the store
- Providing leadership, guidance and support to retail team members
- Helping coordinate daily workflow and ensuring tasks are completed effectively
- Delivering a high standard of customer service and assisting with customer enquiries
- Supporting merchandising, promotional activity and presentation standards
- Assisting with stock management, replenishment and inventory control
- Supporting the achievement of store sales and performance targets
- Assisting with the training, development and onboarding of team members
- Helping maintain store policies, procedures and workplace standards
- Taking responsibility for retail operations when the Retail Manager is unavailable
- Working collaboratively with the pharmacy and dispensary teams to ensure the store operates smoothly
About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable,
approachable and comfortable taking responsibility in a busy retail environment.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience in retail, with supervisory, team leader or management experience highly regarded
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to lead by example and build positive working relationships
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced workplace
- Confidence in resolving customer issues and supporting team members
- A strong work ethic and willingness to be hands-on
- An interest in health, beauty and pharmacy retail
- Flexibility to work across the store's trading hours, including some weekend work
Previous pharmacy experience is advantageous but not essential. We welcome applications from experienced retail supervisors, team leaders and assistant managers from other retail environments.
