Our client, Civil Works Engineers is a civil engineering consultancy specialising in land development and subdivision projects across South East Queensland. Due to growth, they are looking for an experienced Stormwater / Civil Engineer to join their Concept Design team in Rocklea.

This role would suit someone with 2–3 years' practical experience in stormwater/civil design who can confidently pick up projects and contribute from day one. More experienced candidates are also encouraged to apply, with salary flexibility available for the right person.

About the role
Working closely with the Managing Engineer, you will deliver stormwater and civil design work across a range of land development projects and Queensland councils. Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing Stormwater Management Reports, including water quality and quantity calculations and hydrological modelling
- Designing stormwater drainage systems, including pipes, open channels, detention basins and water quality treatment devices
- Preparing civil design drawings and documentation for development applications
- Completing drainage design calculations and supporting documentation
- Using AutoCAD for civil drafting and design
- Reviewing project information and identifying data requirements
- Preparing, checking and reviewing designs, reports and calculations
- Managing your own workload and delivering work to agreed deadlines
- Communicating directly with clients throughout projects

About you





- Minimum 2 years' experience in stormwater/civil design, ideally within a land development or civil engineering consultancy
- Practical experience with stormwater quality and quantity design
- Experience using MUSIC, WBNM or similar stormwater modelling software
- Strong AutoCAD skills
- Experience preparing Stormwater Management Reports and drainage design calculations
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Strong attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Queensland council requirements and sewerage/water reticulation design id a nice-to-have, but not essential.

- $76,000 – $100,000 + super, depending on experience, with flexibility for the right candidate
