SENIOR OPERATIONAL SUPPORT OFFICER

Make an impact through operational support, financial administration and team coordination.

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Operational Support Officer to play a key role in supporting the smooth, accurate and compliant delivery of administrative, financial, depot and business operations.

Working alongside the Team Leader, this position will oversee daily administrative workflows, complete high-volume transactional processing, assist with month-end financial requirements and provide guidance and mentoring to a small team — while remaining hands-on with day-to-day administration.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for providing high-quality operational and administrative support, with duties including:

FINANCE & TRANSACTIONS
• Processing purchase orders, invoicing and receipting
• Completing job costing and cost allocations
• Monitoring open commitments and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting month-end processes, including WIP reviews, reconciliations and data validation

OPERATIONAL & DEPOT SUPPORT
• Coordinating day-to-day administrative workflows
• Providing administration support across depot operations
• Managing PPE and consumable requirements
• Coordinating travel and accommodation
• Delivering accurate and timely operational, financial and administrative services

SYSTEMS & SUPPORT
• Providing first-level troubleshooting for system and IT-related issues
• Working with ERP systems to support accurate and efficient processing

TEAM COORDINATION
• Supporting the Team Leader with workflow coordination




• Mentoring and supporting team members
• Conducting quality checks
• Identifying and escalating issues when required

SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
• Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture
• Following all relevant safety procedures
• Reporting hazards and contributing to safety initiatives

You are a highly organised, proactive administration professional who brings strong financial and operational support experience. You have exceptional attention to detail, can confidently manage competing priorities and enjoy supporting and mentoring others.

You will be someone who takes ownership, communicates effectively and consistently delivers a high standard of service in a busy operational environment.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU WILL BRING:

✓ Current C Class Driver's Licence

✓ Certificate in Business Administration or equivalent experience (desirable)

✓ Demonstrated administration or operational support experience, ideally within an operational or field-based environment

✓ Experience working with ERP systems such as JDEGS, SAP, Oracle or similar

✓ Strong high-volume transactional processing experience, including purchase orders, invoicing, receipting and job costing

✓ Experience supporting month-end financial processes (desirable)

✓ Previous experience mentoring or leading a small team

✓ Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities

✓ A commitment to workplace safety, continuous improvement and exceptional customer service
