Senior Legal Administration Officer, Ongoing opportunity based in Sydney CBD

The Department of Customer Service is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Administration Officer for an ongoing position within their Prosecutions Legal Administration team supporting SafeWork NSW and the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA).

- Clerk Grade 7/8, $116,981 - $129,492+ super, commensurate with experience
- Ongoing, full-time opportunity
- Sydney CBD office location
- While we support hybrid and flexible working options, the successful candidate will be required to attend the office as needed to meet business requirements, generally averaging three days per week.

The opportunity and the role:
The Senior Legal Administration Officer will manage the delivery of a range of services to a large, busy Legal team, with a focus on supporting that team to conduct litigation for, and provide legal advice to, SafeWork NSW and SIRA.

To be successful in this role it is essential that you are motivated and a strong effective communicator who is able to plan and prioritise work and manage competing deadlines. Prior experience working in a legal team is desirable.

Your key accountabilities include:

- Oversee and coordinate the delivery of administrative and support services by the administrative service staff to ensure the business needs of the Legal team/clients are met
- Ensure the effective management of competing priorities, and delivery of work to client agencies and the Legal team, within expected deadlines.
- Monitor and address complex and/or sensitive enquiries and issues, including those that are escalated, to ensure the timely and effective resolutions of issues
- Coordinate and manage records and prosecution databases,



complying with administrative processes, policies and systems, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible
- Prepare and produce data on prosecutions, KPIs, and other team deliverables as required by client agencies and external stakeholders
- Manage or participate in projects on a range of administrative issues such as systems changes, procurement, staff, KPI reporting and ministerial briefs
- Develop and maintain collaborative and consultative stakeholder/client relationships

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $116,981 base plus superannuation
