About ABN Group
For over 45 years, ABN Group has been a leader in building, property and home finance. We have helped thousands of people realise the dream of home ownership, delivering over 100,000 homes across Western Australia and Victoria. From first homes to luxury builds, we’ve earned the trust of our community along the way.
About the role
We’re looking for a Transformation Analyst to join our Technology team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in either our Leederville office in Perth or Docklands office in Melbourne.
Reporting to the Head of Technology Execution & Operational Readiness, you’ll play an important role in supporting ABN Group’s transformation agenda, helping turn complex and sometimes ambiguous business challenges into explicit problems, options and recommendations.
Working across senior leaders, Technology teams and business stakeholders, you’ll help shape potential transformation initiatives, support decision-making and ensure ideas are well understood before progressing into discovery and delivery.
This is a role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, asking the right questions and bringing structure and clarity to complex problems. You’ll work across business, technology, data and capability considerations to understand what is really driving an issue and help determine the best path forward.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Analysing business problems, opportunities and strategic objectives to identify and shape potential transformation initiatives.
- Partnering with stakeholders to clarify scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks and expected benefits.
- Turning complex information and competing viewpoints into clear options and recommendations for senior leaders.
- Preparing executive-level briefs, options papers, investment summaries and other decision-ready materials.
- Supporting prioritisation of initiatives based on value, effort, risk and strategic alignment.
- Supporting discovery activities alongside architects, delivery teams and business subject matter experts.
- Helping define high-level solution options, delivery approaches, costs and change impacts.
- Supporting the transition of initiatives into delivery, ensuring scope, ownership, risks and dependencies are clearly understood.
- Using qualitative and quantitative data to develop insights, reports and presentations for senior and non-technical audiences.
About you
You’ll be an experienced analyst or transformation professional who is comfortable working with ambiguity and bringing structure to complex business challenges.
You’ll be confident engaging with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation and able to take a large amount of information, identify what matters and translate it into a clear story that supports decision-making.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Experience within consulting, transformation, project delivery or enterprise change environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear questions, options and actions.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Experience preparing executive briefs, options papers and recommendations.
- An understanding of technology-enabled transformation and delivery lifecycles.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with a structured approach to your work.
- A curious and proactive mindset, with the confidence to ask questions and seek out the information you need.
