Looking to grow your Occupational Therapy career in a supportive team where no two days are the same?
Join St John of God Ballarat Hospital as an Occupational Therapist (Grade 1 or 2) and gain exposure across a diverse range of clinical areas, with opportunities to develop your skills through rotations across rehabilitation, orthopaedics, surgical, general medicine, oncology and ICU.
You’ll be part of a small, collaborative Allied Health team made up of clinicians across different disciplines and experience levels, with strong mentoring and supervision available. Whether you’re a Graduate OT taking your first step into your career or a Grade 2 looking to broaden your experience, you’ll have the opportunity to learn, grow and make a meaningful difference to your patients.
This is a permanent full-time position, Monday to Friday, with shifts rostered between 7.30am/8am and 3.30pm/4pm, giving you genuine work-life balance.

The opportunity
In this role, you will:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy to both inpatients and outpatients, working with individuals and groups.
- Complete holistic assessments across functional,
cognitive and physical domains, including personal care, domestic and community activities of daily living.
- Develop and deliver tailored treatment programs that support each patient’s individual goals and maximise their independence.
- Assess and coordinate appropriate equipment and aids to support patients in their return to everyday life.
- Work closely with medical, nursing and multidisciplinary Allied Health teams to deliver patient-centred care.
- Build your clinical capability through exposure to a diverse caseload and multiple areas of practice.
What you’ll bring
You’ll have a sound understanding of occupational therapy assessment, treatment and evaluation, along with solid communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is curious, collaborative and passionate about helping people regain independence and achieve meaningful outcomes.
Successful applicants will have a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current valid driver’s licence.

We can offer you
- Salary Grade 1-2: $70,866 to $114,129 plus 12% Superannuation
- Permanent full-time, working 38 hours per week.
- 5 weeks of annual leave
