Due to expansion, EMJC are looking for a Workshop Leading Hand to join the team based in Karratha.
The position may be a FIFO or residential role.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake various mechanical repairs to earthmoving equipment, tooling and workshop assets
Undertake on and off hire functions for incoming and outgoing plant
Provide guidance, leadership and diagnostic support to other workshop staff
Provide supervisory coverage in the absence of management
Ensure accurate processing of all electronic workshop data to enable accurate job costing, service records and similar
Assess and process purchasing requisitions for parts, consumables and similar
Provide occasional diagnostic support
Essential skills
Minimum 2 years industry experience with previous experience in a Leading Hand role
Mechanical HD Mobile Plant Trade qualification
Broad knowledge of earthmoving and heavy haulage equipment - Cat, Komatsu, Kenworth, Drake
Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines.
Solid understanding of WHS standards and requirements
Solid computer skills utilising the Microsoft suite.
