About the role

We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our thriving fabrication team at Tom's Fabrications in South Gladstone, QLD. As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for the skilled construction, installation and repair of metal structures and components to the highest industry standards. This full time role will see you playing a key part in the delivery of critical fabrication and engineering projects for our diverse range of clients.

What you'll be doing
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to fabricate, assemble and install a variety of metal structures
Operating welding equipment such as MIG, TIG and stick welders to join metal parts with high precision
Performing maintenance, repair and modification work on existing metal structures and equipment
Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with relevant safety standards and regulations




Maintaining a clean, organised and protected workshop environment

What we're looking for
Formal trade qualification as a Boilermaker or similar metal fabrication discipline
Experience in welding techniques
Robust ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work orders
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-based environment
Current forklift operating licence would be highly regarded
