About the role
You’ll be working across Melbourne and regional Victoria, delivering telecommunications infrastructure using directional drilling and civil construction equipment.
Key responsibilities
Operating Vermeer, Ditch Witch or similar directional drill rigs
Completing trenchless drilling and underground conduit installations
Carrying out excavation, trenching, pit installation and reinstatement
Using DigiTrak, Subsite and other locating systems
Identifying and safely working around underground services
Reading construction plans, drawings and utility maps
Completing pre-starts, risk assessments and project documentation
Maintaining equipment and keeping worksites secure, clean and organised
Working with supervisors and project teams to deliver quality projects on time
What We're Looking For
Experienced, reliable and safety-focused
Confident operating machinery and working outdoors
Experienced in civil construction and/or directional drilling
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on construction work
Willing to travel across metropolitan and regional Victoria
Essential:
Current Driver's Licence
White Card
First Aid & CPR
Solid understanding of WHS and safe work practices
Your Experience Will Stand Out If You Have
· MR or HR Licence.
· Directional drilling experience.
· Vermeer or Ditch Witch experience.
· DigiTrak or Subsite locating experience.
· Traffic Control qualifications.
· DBYD and construction drawing experience.
· Asbestos awareness/removal training.
