About the firm

Our client is a quick-growing boutique consultancy specialising in mining, resources and industrial sectors. They work with some of the biggest names in Australian mining - without the politics, hierarchy or leverage-model grind of the big firms. Remote-first since day one, values-driven, and genuinely low on bureaucracy.

The role

This is the leadership seat for their finance and analytics practice, reporting directly to a Head of Delivery. It's a client-facing role first and foremost - you'll personally lead and deliver engagements across financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting transformation, economic evaluation, capital allocation and cost reduction programs for major mining and industrial clients.

You'll manage a team of Consultants who are delivering the same work as above.

And in addition, you'll help to grow the practice: relationship-driven business development (industry events, networks and existing clients - not cold calling),



building reusable methodologies and consulting IP, and leading and developing a small team of consultants.

It's a remote first role - can be based anywhere in Australia - but there will be requirement to visit client site nationally.

About you
CPA, CA, CFA or MBA
Experience managing and developing people
Robust commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills
Previous business development experience will be highly regarded, but in the absence of this, an appetite to build the practice, the client base, and the way things are done
Delivery experience across budgeting, forecasting, planning and performance, modelling, and finance transformation
Mining, resources, energy or capital-intensive industry exposure or commercial consulting experience.
