Role details
The Nutrition and Dietetics Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Dietitian (Research) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
Provide research support across dietetics while participating in approved and funded dietetic research studies conducted by the Principal Investigator. This position will participate in assessing, planning, implementing and/or evaluating identified research studies under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and research team.
About the Team
Our Nutrition and Dietetics Service delivers care to patients, both children and adults, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. As experts in nutrition, our Dietitians provide education and practical support to enable patients to make dietary choices that will maximise their health and wellbeing. The Nutrition and Dietetic Department also:
Facilitates practical placements for student dietitians and on the job training for recent graduates;
Undertakes quality improvement activities, and contributes to research and advancement of best practice nutrition care;
Provides expert guidance and support to Foodservice operations at each hospital facility.
