HEAD CHEF — HELLO PLEASE

Hello Please is looking for a Head Chef to take the lead in our kitchen.

We’re a busy Contemporary Australian-Asian restaurant in Fish Lane, South Brisbane, with a focus on big flavours, valuable produce and food that’s fun to eat without being overcomplicated.

We’re looking for someone who can take real ownership of the kitchen — leading the team, maintaining standards, managing food and labour costs, ordering and rostering, and working with us to keep developing the menu.

You’ll suit the role if you’re an experienced Sous Chef ready to step up, or an existing Head Chef looking for a kitchen where you can have genuine input and make the role your own.

What we’re looking for:
Solid kitchen leadership and organisation
Experience running a busy service
Solid understanding of food and wage costs
Consistency and attention to detail
Confidence training and developing junior chefs




Someone reliable, level-headed and positive to work with
An genuine interest in menu development and food is a big plus

This is a hands-on role. We’re not looking for someone to stand at the pass with a clipboard - you’ll be cooking, leading service and working alongside the team.
