Jaymax Construction is a reputable Canberra-based builder specialising in high-quality residential renovations, extensions, and outdoor living projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated qualified Carpenter or 3rd-year Apprentice Carpenter to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work across a wide range of residential projects, including structural carpentry, framing, renovations, detailed internal finishes, and external works such as decks and pergolas. You will be working within a supportive team environment where attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a strong work ethic are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out carpentry works in accordance with drawings and project specifications
Contribute to site set-out, measurements, and problem-solving as required
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe worksite
Work collaboratively with team members, subcontractors, and clients
Deliver consistently high-quality workmanship

Skills & Experience




Trade-qualified Carpenter or 3rd-year Apprentice Carpenter
Previous experience in renovations and extensions is highly regarded
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to read and interpret plans confidently
White Card and Asbestos Awareness Card
Own hand tools and transport
A positive attitude and pride in your work
