Lead Electrical Electronics Design Engineer

A well-established hardware product company in Sydney is looking for a senior electronics design leader to join as a technical authority for its engineering team.

This isn't a traditional management role — it's for someone with deep, hands-on design credibility who can lead through expertise and earn the team's respect, not through hierarchy.

What you'll be doing:
Owning technical direction on complex, high-speed electronics design work
Mentoring senior engineers and acting as the final technical voice on design decisions
Working as a peer to other engineering leads, reporting directly to the founder

What we're looking for:
Robust hands-on electronics design background, ideally including high-speed signal design (signal integrity,



impedance matching, high-speed switching circuits)
A genuine track record of shipped, production hardware — from a product company, not a consultancy
Enough seniority and credibility to mentor senior engineers and resolve technical disagreements
Comfortable in a flat, informal, low-hierarchy team culture

On offer:
~$200K total package (base + bonus)
