About the role

This role involves carrying out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, performing inspections, troubleshooting and defect rectification, and maintaining piston and turbine engines, airframes and associated aircraft systems. You will complete repairs and component changes in accordance with approved maintenance data, accurately complete worksheets, maintenance releases, logbooks and other aircraft maintenance documentation, and assist with aircraft inspections, modifications and major maintenance activities. You will maintain positive standards of tool control, housekeeping and workplace safety, work closely with other engineers, management, operators and aircraft owners, and ensure all maintenance is completed to a high professional and regulatory standard.

Key responsibilities
Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
Performing inspections, troubleshooting and defect rectification
Maintenance of piston and turbine engines, airframes and associated aircraft systems
Completing repairs and component changes in accordance with approved maintenance data
Accurately completing worksheets, maintenance releases, logbooks and other aircraft maintenance documentation




Assisting with aircraft inspections, modifications and major maintenance activities
Supporting and mentoring apprentices and less experienced engineers
Maintaining good standards of tool control, housekeeping and workplace safety
Working closely with other engineers, management, operators and aircraft owners
Ensuring all maintenance is completed to a high professional and regulatory standard

About you
Current CASA Part 66 B1.1 and/or B1.2 licence (for LAME applicants)
Practical general aviation maintenance experience
Sound fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Experience with piston and/or turbine-powered aircraft
Positive understanding of aircraft maintenance documentation and regulatory requirements
Ability to work both independently and as part of a small professional team
Recognised aircraft maintenance training or significant relevant aviation maintenance experience (for AME applicants)
Good mechanical and fault-finding skills
Ability to interpret maintenance manuals and technical data
Valuable maintenance documentation practices
