Description
Key Responsibilities
The Safety Officer will be responsible for:
Conducting regular workplace safety inspections and identifying hazards and unsafe practices.
Assisting with hazard identification, risk assessments and implementation of appropriate control measures.
Monitoring compliance with WHS policies, procedures, Secure Work Method Statements (SWMS) and other safety documentation.
Supporting the implementation of actions and initiatives required under the company's SafeWork NSW Enforceable Undertaking.
Maintaining accurate WHS records, registers, inspections and corrective-action documentation.
Investigating workplace incidents, near misses and hazards and assisting with root-cause analysis.
Assisting management with incident reporting and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
Providing WHS advice and guidance to employees, supervisors and management.
Conducting or coordinating workplace safety inductions, toolbox talks and WHS training.
Requirements:
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) – mandatory.
You will have the chance to work closely with management and employees while contributing to the implementation of safety improvements associated with our SafeWork NSW Enforceable Undertaking
