Approx. 20 hours per week | Freshwater, Northern Beaches

We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Casual Chef to join the kitchen team at Stowaway Bar in Freshwater.

The role will be approximately 20 hours per week, working primarily at Stowaway, with occasional shifts at our sister venue also in Freshwater.

We’re a busy neighbourhood venue with a robust local following and an established kitchen team. We’re looking for someone who can confidently step into service, work well with the crew and take pride in putting out consistently valuable food.

The role
Preparing and cooking dishes during service
General food prep and kitchen organisation
Maintaining consistent presentation and quality
Working cleanly and efficiently during busy services
Following food safety and hygiene standards
Supporting the wider kitchen team where needed
Occasional shifts at our sister venue in Freshwater

About you





We’re looking for someone who:
Has previous experience in a commercial kitchen
Is confident working through a busy service
Is reliable, organised and easy to work with
Takes pride in food quality and presentation
Can work independently when required
Is looking for around 20 hours of casual work each week

There’s some flexibility around how the hours are structured, and additional hours may occasionally be available across our venues.

Both venues are located in Freshwater on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, so there’s no travelling between different suburbs.
