We are a well-established crane company based in Burleigh Waters, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Administrator to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced accounts professional who is confident managing all aspects of day-to-day accounts and can work independently while also being an integral part of our administration team. You will take ownership of a broad range of accounting responsibilities and will play an significant role in ensuring the financial administration of the business is accurate, organised and maintained to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
GST and BAS preparation support
General ledger maintenance
Preparation and processing of journals
Accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments
Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Month-end processes and reconciliations
Maintaining accurate financial records
Assisting with reporting and financial administration
Job and project-related accounting
Working with management and the wider administration team to resolve accounting queries
About you
5+ years' experience in an accounts role
Strong understanding of accounting processes and confident working across a variety of accounting functions
Construction industry experience highly desirable, particularly experience working in a business involving projects, plant, equipment, subcontractors or job costing
Solid attention to detail and takes pride in accurate work
Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
Can work confidently and independently without constant supervision
Proactive and takes ownership of their responsibilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working as part of a team
Can identify discrepancies and resolve issues
