About the role

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of heavy vehicles and equipment. You will work across workshop, mobile and field-based environments, servicing customers throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities
Scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs
Working on prime movers, rigid trucks, trailers, and heavy vehicles
Mechanical fault finding and diagnostics
Hydraulic and electrical fault diagnosis
Brake, suspension and steering repairs
Cooling system, clutch, gearbox, and engine repairs
Inspections and identification of required repairs
Preventative maintenance
Mobile breakdown and field service work
Completing accurate job notes and service records

About you
Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Fitter or similar
Previous experience working on heavy road transport vehicles
Strong knowledge of trucks, trailers, and heavy vehicle systems
Experience with mechanical diagnostics and fault finding
Hydraulic and electrical diagnostic experience
Solid mechanical problem-solving skills




A high standard of workmanship
Good communication skills
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Current driver's licence
