About the role

We're seeking a professional, well-organised Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming first point of contact for our patients across both sites. This is a permanent part time position — 0.4 FTE, working Tuesdays and Fridays (approximately 15 hours per week), with an immediate start available.

Key responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors and provide a warm, professional first impression
Answer and manage incoming calls, emails and enquiries
Book, confirm, reschedule and manage appointments
Prepare, open and close consulting rooms
Accurate data entry and maintenance of patient records
Manage incoming referrals and clinical correspondence
Scan, file and distribute documents; type and format letters as required
Process billing, receipting and payments
Prepare Medicare, DVA and private health fund claims
Liaise with hospitals, specialists, GPs and allied health providers
Maintain stock and order office and clinical supplies
Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times

About you
Excellent verbal and written communication




Professional, friendly presentation and manner
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
Confident computer skills
Reliability, punctuality and discretion
Right to work in Australia
Previous medical reception or customer service experience (desirable)
Familiarity with practice management software (Gentu) and Medicare/DVA billing (desirable)
Understanding of medical terminology (desirable)
