Searson Buck are proud to be partnering with a growing Tasmanian business seeking an Accountant to join their finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of multiple entities while supporting reporting, compliance, cashflow management, forecasting and process improvement initiatives. This is an excellent prospect to step into a broad accounting role where you'll gain exposure to commercial decision-making and work closely with key stakeholders across the business.
Drive month-end processes including journals, reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
Prepare management reports, financial analysis and supporting working papers.
Prepare GST returns and support statutory compliance obligations.
Assist with year-end reporting and external audits.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information across multiple entities.

Operational & Process
Manage accounts receivable, invoicing and debtor collections.
Process accounts payable, purchase orders and supplier reconciliations.




Monitor cashflow and support forecasting activities.
Perform bank, credit card and intercompany reconciliations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.

Stakeholder & Commercial
Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insights and support.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Support reporting requirements across local and foreign entities.
Contribute to improved financial processes and business performance outcomes.

About You
CPA/CA qualified (or working towards) with experience in a commercial accounting workplace.
Strong stakeholder skills and a genuine interest in how businesses operate and grow.
Able to use financial insights to support better business decisions and outcomes.
