Business Analyst - Data & Reporting Focus

6 Month Contract (with possibility of extension) | $80-$90 p/h + Super

Hays is partnering with a leading organisation seeking a Business Analyst who combines robust stakeholder engagement and business analysis skills with hands-on data reporting and dashboard development experience.

This role will play a key part in helping the organisation translate risk and compliance controls into meaningful operational metrics, providing valuable insights that support informed decision-making. You will work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, facilitate workshops, and develop reporting solutions that drive visibility and accountability across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Facilitate stakeholder workshops and requirements gathering activities
Engage with business and technical teams to understand reporting and operational needs
Translate risk and compliance controls into measurable KPIs and operational metrics
Design, build and maintain dashboards and reports
Analyse data and provide insights to support business decision-making




Communicate complex information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Support the delivery of reporting frameworks and performance measurement initiatives

Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Proven experience working as a Business Analyst
Solid stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
Experience gathering, documenting and validating business requirements
Ability to interpret risk, governance or compliance controls and convert them into meaningful performance measures
Hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports
Solid Power BI skills, with experience using Excel and other reporting tools highly regarded
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders
A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline will be highly regarded
