Field Service Mechanic

SD Mechanical Solutions is looking for an experienced Field Service Mechanic to join our team servicing customers throughout Perth and the Wheatbelt.

This is a Monday to Friday position, with overtime available. The work is varied and will mainly involve CAT machinery, along with other major brands.

About the role

The position will involve a range of field service and workshop-based mechanical work, including:
Mechanical repairs and servicing
Fault finding and diagnostics
Component repairs and replacements
Machine rebuilds
Breakdown and field service work
Preventative maintenance
Completing service reports and job documentation
Working on customer sites across Perth and the Wheatbelt

You'll be working as part of a small team, with direct communication with the owner and a flexible approach to getting the work done.

What we're looking for




Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel / Mobile Plant trade qualification
Experience working on heavy mobile equipment
Good mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
CAT experience essential
Experience with other major equipment brands
Current Australian driver's licence
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Positive standard of workmanship and safety awareness
No minimum trade experience required to apply
