The Role

Our client, a highly respected global insurer, is seeking a Claims Specialist with experience in Commercial Property (ISR) claims in Sydney. There will also be ancillary exposure to Energy and Construction risks in this role.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced team, take ownership of complex claims, and build meaningful connections across the business.

What You’ll Do
Manage a portfolio of Commercial Property claims through their full life cycle.
Attend mediations, settlement discussions, and arbitration as needed.
Build solid, trusted relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with underwriting to support business development and retention.
Identify and investigate potentially fraudulent claims.
Represent the business externally and contribute to a high-performing claims culture.

What We’re Looking For




Proven experience managing Commercial Property claims, including construction and energy related claims.
This experience could be as a Claims Specialist or as a Lawyer.
Strong understanding of the Insurance Contracts Act and related legislation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with commercial awareness.
Technically confident and detail-oriented, with solid decision-making ability.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and up-to-date claims systems.
Legal, broking, or underwriting exposure is advantageous.
