Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our engineering team in Camperdown for leave cover.

This contract position offers an exciting prospect to contribute to precision manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of CNC machinery, supporting our commitment to excellence in engineering.

Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC machines to produce components according to specifications
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate machining
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise manufacturing processes
Maintain a clean and protected working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications:
Completion of a relevant vocational qualification in machining or engineering
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in a contract role




Strong understanding of CNC programming and operation
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Familiarity with quality control processes and tools
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Solid communication and teamwork abilities
This position is suited to an experienced, hands-on CNC Machinist who is comfortable working autonomously. The successful candidate will operate a SYIL X9 CNC mill with Siemens 828D controls, producing primarily prototype and small-batch components to standard machining tolerances across a range of materials.
