DomeShelter Australia is looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Engineering Team. This isn’t a role where you will spend your first two years doing repetitive calculations in the background. Working directly with our Head of Engineering, you will gain hands-on exposure to the complete structural engineering process – from concept development and structural analysis through to detailed design, documentation, certification, fabrication, and construction.

THE ROLE

You will progressively become involved in:
Structural analysis and design of steel-framed fabric-clad structures
Wind loading and application of Australian standards
Structural steel, connection, foundations, and anchorage design
Preparation of engineering calculations and technical reports
Review of structural drawings and 3D models
Engineering input into major and complex projects
Technical support to our estimating, project, and construction teams
Development of standard engineering solutions, design tools, and technical documentation
Use of modern digital and AI-assisted tools to improve engineering workflows

You won’t be expected to know all of this on day one. We are looking for someone with robust engineering fundamentals, curiosity,



and a desire to become a capable, practical structural engineer.

ABOUT YOU

You will have recently completed, or be close to completing, a recognised degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

More importantly, you will:

Be comfortable getting involved in practical engineering problems

Experience with structural analysis software, SpaceGass, Excel, CAS/3D modelling and Australian structural design standards is essential. You will need to be registered with Engineers Australia and serious about embarking on your qualified pathway.
