An established hospitality services operation is seeking a qualified Commis Chef to join its team within a busy hospital café environment on the Sunshine Coast.
This is an opportunity to work in a professional healthcare setting where quality food, food safety and consistency are essential. You will be part of a supportive kitchen team providing meals and café services to patients, staff and visitors.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Commis Chef's to assist with the preparation and delivery of high-quality food across a busy kitchen operation.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a well-balanced roster designed to provide genuine flexibility and work-life balance.
You will be responsible for:
Assisting with the preparation and production of meals across a high-volume kitchen
Supporting bulk cooking and food preparation requirements
Maintaining consistent food quality and presentation standards
Following strict food safety, hygiene and healthcare catering requirements
Working collaboratively with the broader kitchen and café team
Assisting with stock rotation, storage and general kitchen duties
Maintaining a clean, organised and protected working environment
Supporting the team across different service periods as required





The Candidate

We are looking for a qualified Chef or an experienced cook who is reliable, organised and comfortable working in a high-volume kitchen environment.
To be successful, you will have:
A recognised chef qualification or completed apprenticeship
A Cook with relative experience in the similar role
Experience with bulk cooking and high-volume food preparation
Previous café, aged care, institutional or healthcare catering experience highly regarded
Robust understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
The ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
A positive and cooperative approach to working within a team
Reliability and flexibility to work across a seven-day rotating roster
