Job Responsibilities
Read and interpret plan and specifications to determine layout and dimensions.
Determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
Prepare detailed layouts and cutting lists to ensure precision and efficiency in the construction process
Erect scaffolding and ladders and temporary supports to maintain structure during construction.
Build floors, walls, roofs, and ceilings by assembling structural frameworks
Position and secure structural components such as floor joists, wall studs, roof trusses, and beams.
Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
Fasten components using nails, screws, brackets, and bolts,



ensuring alignment and structural integrity.
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a secure and clean setting.
Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.

Skills, qualifications and experience required for this role
Technical Carpentry Skills including tool handling, cutting and shaping wood/metal, measuring, lay out and material knowledge
Problem solving skills
Workplace and safety skills
Certificate III/IV in Carpentry
At least 1 year of experience in similar role
