About the Role

We are looking for a qualified and passionate Chef to join our team. This role offers the

chance to work in a great, supportive environment. Experience in a traditional Korean dining

restaurant setting is highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a quick-paced environment, work well with others, and have a

deep understanding of authentic Korean cuisine. You must be able to multitask, remain calm

under pressure, and have a very good understanding of food and all aspects of a commercial

kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

● Planning menus for traditional Korean dishes, estimating food and labour costs, and

ordering food supplies.

● Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation to ensure

authenticity and high standards.





● Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, kitchen staff, and waiting staff.

● Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising on procedures, specifically for authentic

Korean cuisine and double-frying methods.

● Preparing and cooking food to a high standard.

● Explaining and enforcing all hygiene and food safety regulations.

● Assisting with the selection and training of kitchen staff.

● Managing stock rotation, including freezing and preserving foods as required.

Qualifications & Skills

● Trade Qualifications: At least a Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (or equivalent).

● Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Chef

● Knowledge and experience in high-volume food preparation and a fast-paced customer

setting, preferably with traditional Korean cuisine.

● High level of interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

● Proven ability to work effectively under pressure.

● Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.

● Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
